Imagine this, we are dog scootering next to
Spring Lake (one of the most beautiful places on earth!) on a misty December afternoon. Our Golden Retriever Alex is running like the wind downhill pulling me on a
Diggler (kick scooter) . Our 7 year old daughter is gliding down the hill besides Alex on her Dirt Dawg Diggler.. and she says... "Look, this is Alex's BEST DAY EVER!" And in that moment, I noticed that in fact it was! It was all our BEST DAY EVER!
Dog Scootering is good for the soul, both dog and human alike. The trails can be surfaced streets or muddy trails. We can be walking the scoooters uphill in search of the thrilling downhill or just cruising easy on flat terrain. It really doesn't much matter because the best part of the experience is sharing it with our family, including the four legged members.
One two hour trekk of dog scootering is worth hours and hours of traditional dog walking. It is with dog scootering that I became a believer in the philosophy that dogs need a job to be happy, balanced and satisfied. As soon as we harness up the dogs, they are besides themselves with excitement for the adventure ahead. When we return home, they are happy and settled.
A day that includes Dog Scootering, is THE BEST DAY EVER!
